This is what my wife and I walked down the aisle to. Can you tell I am a giant nerd and she supports me? I picked it because it's a beautiful piece of music, and the name of the arrangement was PERFECT for how I feel about marrying her. *There's No Place Like Home*

Achievement Unlocked: Got Married	[Oct. 18th, 2011\|05:22 pm]
I can go months without logging into Livejournal. And it looks like I have a few hardcore holdouts on my friends list, but most everyone else is gone. Sometimes I miss LJ. Sometimes I don't. I miss some of the good friends I made on here who I don't see on any other social services. I don't think my wedding would have been as packed as it was if it wasn't for LJ and the connections made and maintained through it. Maybe I'll post here sometimes. Maybe I won't. I feel all adult now. Married, a kid, moving to a new city in December. I mean, it's only Santa Fe, but still. I have never lived anywhere other than Albuquerque in my life. I expect culture shock and depression. But I realize no one calls anymore. No one writes. My wife is my world, and my world is safe and warm.

I am currently contemplating re-homing my dog. :( I just don't feel I have the time to give her all the attention and love she needs. (Between work, and suddenly parenting a three year old, and hopefully going back to school in the Fall) And rather than feel she's being neglected I'd like to see if I can find her a home with another dog or more, and people who spend more time at home than I am currently capable of. I'm not gonna just toss her into the pound, she's being played with, taken care of, well fed and given all the attention I can spare. But I'd like to find a better environment she might be happier in. So if you're looking for a dog, or know someone who is let me know. She's really a sweet pup, about 11 months old. Spayed, shots, chipped. Crate trained. Completely house broken (with the occasional "Why didn't you let me out?" accident.) She's been through a beginners and intermediate training class. Follows her vocal commands decently, and is incredibly playful. when I say suddenly parenting a three year old I don't mean that one just showed on my door step. I moved in with my gf and her daughter. I'm incredibly happy and love teaching her and spending time with her, but my lord children take up every iota of your time!

Adjusting	[Jan. 21st, 2011\|12:19 pm]
The last week has been an insane period of moving, unpacking, humping boxes from one room to another and adjusting to living with not one girl but two. And one of them a 3 year old. The dog is having some trouble adjusting to the new house, and I haven’t even moved my cats in yet. I’ve been with my girlfriend since the summer, and been spending time with her daughter since before we started dating. But even with all the time the kidlet and I have hung out it’s still been quite an adjustment LIVING with a three year old child. Getting her to eat dinner: Her: “I’m not hungry. I’m gonna go pet the dog.” Me: “Eat your dinner.” Her: “But the dog is LICKING ME!” Getting her dressed in the morning she got a shirt stuck on her head and started dancing around trying to pull it down: Her: “Damnit. Damnit. Damnit! DAMNIT!” Waking her up in the morning to get ready for day care: Me: “It’s time to get up kiddo. You want some breakfast?” Her: “Leave. Me. Alone.” Coming home from work: Me: “Hi kiddo, how was your day?” Her: “I’m watching Buzz.” Me: “Can I have a hug? I missed you.” Her: “I’m all out of hugs.” Not to mention the constant trips, slips, falls, bumps, bruises, dog nips and temper tantrums. Suddenly I understand why all my friends with kids have gray hairs and bags under their eyes.

~~Day 01 - Introduce yourself~~ Day 02 - Your first love Danielle Nicole Thomas was probably the first girl I ever loved. I was a sophomore in High School, and my friend Jon was going on and on about a girl he'd met in one of his classes. She was a swimmer, and Jon knew the exact time she would be coming back to campus from the pool in his little high school stalkerish way. I remember how we met. Jon wanted me to see this girl, and he wanted to see her. We waited outside the pool, smoking cigarettes and being suspicious. I remember she came out, her hair wet wearing a green t-shirt. I remember yelling "Hey Danielle, why don't you go out with Jon?" Or something similar. She turned and eyed me up. "You're Adam, aren't you?" And like that I was infatuated. I followed her around like a lost little puppy dog for weeks. Practically begging her to give me a chance. She never really did, but we grew closer. Never truly together. I think we "Dated" for a few weeks and she "dumped" me over some minor infraction. I remember her comic book collection being the sexiest thing about her. End of the school year her family relocated to Italy for her mothers work. We wrote off and on for a few years. I remember calling Dani when I got my first tattoo. She moved back to the states with some military boyfriend whom she loved. We stopped writing and didn't speak again for about a decade. I found her on Facebook a few years ago. I sent a friends request to a random Danielle Nicole Thomas and got "Is this Adam from New Mexico?" as a response. We've talked off and on the last few years, mostly off. We shared a moment of "I always wondered what happened to you…" and then continued on with our own lives. She's happily in love and just got married. I smiled at the wedding photos and wished her well. My first love got away, and I feel no regret for it. Day 01 - Introduce yourself

My name is Adam Jarmon Brown. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

I am 31 years old. I turn 32 in five months. I was born in Albuquerque, NM in Presbyterian Hospital. I've lived here my entire life. Three years ago I moved back into the neighborhood I grew up in, in two weeks I'm moving back out of it. I smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, and am actively trying to quit the habit. I sleep five hours a night on average. I own cats and a dog, none of which get along with each other.

In two weeks I am moving in with one of the most amazing women I've ever dated and her three year old daughter. I am simultaneously excited and terrified by this. I've always wanted children, but facing the reality of stepping into a parenting role is overwhelming at times. That being said the munchkin brings more laughter and joy into my life than anyone else I've ever been around. I love her very much.

I take pictures but I am not a photographer. I write short stories and films, but I am not a writer.

I've got soul but I'm not a soldier.
